A few years ago, I moved with my parents from our home in the city to a semi- rural property. When we first moved here, I was very sick. I wasn’t quite bedbound, (I’d already made a little progress,) but I was close to it. I had to spend most of my time in my bedroom resting, and even talking took too much energy. The idea of calling a friend felt beyond me.
Thanks for sharing your heartwarming story Claire. I'm so glad you are slowly improving and able to bring more joy and meaning into your life. I'm fortunate to have a national park behind my house, and on my good days, I sit on the deck on my recliner with my camera in hand and take photos of the kookaburras, cockatoos, king parrots and many other beautiful Australian birds. I count my blessings each day that I live in such a beautiful spot, surrounded by a loving family. I hope your health continues to improve and you’re able to claim back more of your life.
That's incredible Claire! It sounds like you are improving slowly and hopefully steadily. Knowing you in Sydney this sounds like you're significantly better and on your way to even better health. Praying that continues. It was so lovely to hear your voice read this excellent piece of writing too. I hope you get to visit the water plenty more and wander in nature and do all the other things you long to do more of.
